It was a short week for me because of the Easter holiday, but as always in Haiti a very rewarding one.
Monday Tim walked in the house with a very special bundle. One of our new neighbors had their baby on Easter Sunday. It was a boy – Ivenson St. Hilaire. He is strong and healthy with a lot of hair. This morning I went over and got him for a few minutes to show him off at church. What a wonderful blessing – a new life!
Tim finished another house this week. This one is for a woman named Maggie, who is one of the matrons at the HOPE Orphanage. She lost her home in the earthquake and he added on to her original slab and built the house on her property. This is a two way blessing, because Tim feels extremely blessed and humbled that he gets to be a part of helping someone move into a new house. He will start another one tomorrow. There will be 14 when he is finished.
One afternoon we passed out popsicles. Actually, they were Pedialyte Pops, so the kids got a little added bonus with their frozen treats. We are now officially all the kids best friends. When they see Tim pulling in across the street they wait and walk him home. Yesterday I had at least 7 helping me go across the street and back again – each claiming a leg or a finger to hold onto. It’s really nice to be so loved!
May God’s love fill you up this week.
Love from a blue and orange M&M.
